Paper Murals with Miss Ostrowski!

     My student teacher, Miss Megan Ostrowski, just finished up these great paper murals with Suffield's 5th graders before we closed up shop there and moved art classes to Brimfield.  After learning about the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, each class collaborated to come up with ideas for their murals that centered around school pride.  She then divided the classes into smaller groups to work together to draw and paint individual pictures that would become part of the whole.  When all of the individual paintings were completed, the students helped to arrange the pieces onto a background paper that Miss Ostrowski had painted.  We used Kraft paper for individual pieces as well as the background.

     Miss Ostrowski comes to us from Kent State University where she will be graduating this December!  Miss Ostrowski will graduate with a major in art education, and minors in both fine arts and education.  She enjoys painting, hand building in ceramics, and likes to try new things!
