Don Drumm Inspired Engravings

The fourth grade artists enjoyed learning about the metal artworks of local Akron, Ohio artist, Don Drumm.  They noticed that his sculptures are recognizable as sunshines, animals, and other things, but they also have strong elements of fantasy.  The artists tried to display their own elements of fantasy in the animals
they chose to engrave.
India ink, steel wool, and colored Sharpie markers were used to complete these engravings.

Cory F.'s engraving of a rhinoceros.

Collage backgrounds of construction and tissue papers finished these works!
